About Jacquelyn

Hi, I’m Jacquelyn—RYT-200 and lifelong student of movement and mindfulness. I began practicing yoga in 1998 and started teaching in 2008 after a mentor encouraged me to share what I love. Over the years I’ve taught in studios, to military communities (including a 6-week program on base in Qatar), and now online for busy professionals and beginners.

My classes are approachable, steady, and supportive—with clear cues, options for different bodies, and just enough humor to keep it human. (Yes, sometimes we use our “other left foot.”) My current focus is:

  • Morning Flow to gently energize your day

  • Relief for Desk Workers to untangle neck, shoulders, hips, and low back

  • Wellness for Military Spouses to create connection, resilience, and self-care in the midst of unique challenges

Teaching values:

  • Progress over perfection — You don’t need to be “flexible” to start.

  • Agency & kindness — You control your actions and reactions; I’m here to guide, not push.

  • Accessibility — Props and variations are always welcome.

When I’m not teaching, you can usually find me outside or on the move. I love paddle boarding and wake surfing on sunny days, riding my OneWheel for a bit of adventure, and exploring the underwater world since becoming a certified scuba diver. I’m also an avid volleyball player and love the energy and connection the game brings.

Travel is another big part of my life—I’m happiest when exploring new cities, wandering through different countries, and experiencing new cultures. Whether it’s hiking a hidden trail, browsing a local market, or sipping tea in a café halfway around the world, I find inspiration everywhere I go.

At home, I’m happiest spending time with our dog, Yoshi. Wherever I am—whether teaching a class, on the road, or out on the water—my goal is the same: to help others feel more balanced, more present, and more at home in their own bodies.
